Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions call for Individual Fellowships 2020 at NIB


At National Institute of Biology (NIB, Ljubljana, Slovenia) we are seeking a researcher wishing to apply to the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship programme (MSCA-IF) with NIB as the host institution.

Our research is focused on molecular detection of algae and cyanobacteria, which includes qPCR and high-throughput sequencing for the purpose of ecological status assessment and early warning of cyanotoxin threat in surface waters. We are looking for a researcher experienced in bioinformatics and biostatistics to assist us with analyses of genetic and genomic data. Cooperation will take place in a form of an individual project, which can last from 12 to 36 months depending on the type of Fellowship chosen. Proposals have to be submitted by 9th of September 2020 and the project can begin in March 2021. Work can be done partially remotely. The candidate must hold a PhD title or have at least 4 years of full-time research experience.
