Workshop on “Main challenges for virologists and phytoplasmologists when performing nucleic-acid extraction and real-time PCR”

National Institute of Biology a consortium partner of the European Union Reference Laboratory for pests of plants on Viruses, Viroids and Phytoplasmas (EURL-Virology) within the EURL activities in 2021 organized workshop on “Main challenges for virologists and phytoplasmologists when performing nucleic-acid extraction and real-time PCR”. The workshop was held on May 26th and June 2nd, 2021 via Zoom platform and was attended by 54 participants from 24 EU countries. During the workshop which was leaded by Nataša Mehle, head of the Laboratory for viroids, viruses, and phytoplasmas participants were able to get heads on knowledge about the critical steps of nucleic-acid extraction and real-time PCR, and to exchange the knowledge through vivid discussion.
