A new scientific journal led by a Slovenian researcher

Frontiers, an open science platform, is the 3rd most-cited and 6th largest research publisher (https://www.frontiersin.org/). The Frontiers research journals are community-driven and peer-reviewed by editorial boards of over 202,000 top researchers. Featuring pioneering technology, artificial intelligence, and rigorous quality standards, these research articles have been viewed more than 1.9 billion times, reflecting the power of open research.

Over 160 scientific journals are published by Frontiers. On 2 November 2022, a new journal was launched titled Frontiers in Arachnid Science (https://www.frontiersin.org/journals/arachnid-science).

The new journal is led by the field chief editor in arachnid science, Dr. Matjaž Kuntner, a senior researcher at the Slovenian National Institute of Biology and at the Research Centre of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts. Dr. Kuntner assembled an editorial board of over 100 experts worldwide, among which are four additional Slovenian researchers: Drs K. Čandek and E. Turk of the National Institute of Biology, as well as Drs M. Gregorič and S. Kralj Fišer of the Research Centre of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts.

Frontiers in Arachnid Science will publish rigorously peer-reviewed, cutting-edge research on a broad range of topics that cover the applications of scientific advances in relation to arachnids.
