Governing Board for 2006-2010:


The management administration of the Institute is run by the Governing Board. The Institute's Governing Board consists of nine members who are appointed in the following manner:

  • Five members are appointed on behalf of the Founder - the Government of the Republic of Slovenia; of which three members by proposal of the Ministry responsible for research, one member by proposal of the Ministry responsible for the environment, and one member by proposal of the Ministry responsible for agriculture,
  • Two members are appointed by the Governing Board of the Institute, made by proposal of the Director with the consent of the Scientific Council, made up of a selection of the Institutes active researchers, who have a long-term interest in the integration of research activities at the Institute, 
  • Two members are elected by Institute employees from among themselves.
The term of office for members of the Institute's Governing Board is four years.


Director

Current Director is Prof. PhD Tamara Lah Turnšek.

 

 

Scientific Council for 2008-2012:

 

The Scientific Council handles operations and makes decisions regarding the Institutes expertise work and professional issues. It forms an expert basis for the preparation of research programs, carries out the selection of researchers in scientific research and research-development issues and proposes the long-term direction of research and developmental work at the Institute.
