Dr. Barbara Breznik is a recipient of a Fulbright Scholarship


Dr. Barbara Breznik of the Department of Genetic Toxicology and Cancer Biology is the recipient of a Fulbright Scholarship to conduct basic cancer research in the United States.

Barbara works in the research laboratory of Asist. Prof. Klementina Fon Tacer at Texas Tech University in the field of exploring new therapeutic targets for highly aggressive cancers such as brain tumours and pancreatic cancer. She is studying the role of melanoma antigens in treatment resistance to better understand cancer progression and develop more effective cancer treatments.
