NIB

As a head of project office and a project manager, my main activities are focused in pre-award and include the search for public funding opportunities, the advice and support of researchers throughout a proposal preparation on national and international funding programes, the positioning of the NIB interests in the European research area and the promotion of the NIB at an international level. My work involves understanding European institutions and ongoing collaboration with the European research community, as well as establishing network of effective collaborations with first-class institutions and networks.

I hold a degree in Food Science (UNI-LJ, Slovenia), PhD on Biotechnology (UNI-LJ, Slovenia) and a Certificate in project management (PRINCE2). Since 2021, I am the Head of Project Office at NIB. At NIB, I lead the 5xPRO project, which aims to strengthen the competencies of project oficers and enhance the excellence, interdisciplinarity and international integration of the Slovenian research community.

My interests are focused in Research Management innovation, the exchange of best practices across borders and shaping the next generation researchers.
