EOSC-Life - Building a digital space for the life sciences

Project coordinator: Niklas Blomberg

Coordinator for NIB: Kristina Gruden

Code: GA 824087

Duration: 1.03.2019-28.02.2023

The EU-funded EOSC-Life project brings together the 13 pan-European Life Science Research Infrastructures in ESFRI to create an open, digital and collaborative space for life science research. EOSC-Life will publish FAIR data and a catalogue of services for the management, storage and reuse of data in the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC). The project also implements interdisciplinary workflows for life scientists. Via open calls, researchers and project consortia can work with the European Life Science Research Infrastructures and their technical experts to bring their data, tools and workflows into the cloud. Finally, EOSC-Life addresses policies for human research data under GDPR with standards for data provenance and reproducibility, opening a route to set up registries for clinical trial data. NIB will together with UNIMAN link the preexisting plant datasets from phenomics to molecular profiles and annotate them within FAIRDOMhub.

NIB will also together with JFZ develop plant gene ontologies MapMan to assist the annotation of datasets.
