Establish the scientific basis on updated biological characteristics of the marine environment, such as species, habitats and ecosystems, an updated overview of anthropogenic pressures on the marine environment, and an updated assessment of the status of the marine environment in line with the Marine Strategy Framework Directive, Decision 848/2017, the Implementing Regulation of the Decision (EU) and the European Commission guidelines.
