Department: Department of Organisms and Ecosystems Research

I have been working with the EKOS Department since 2017 and am currently employed here as a young researcher in the field of chemical ecology. I study aggregation-sex pheromones of Capricorn beetles (Cerambycidae: Cerambyx). My work includes sampling and identification of these compounds as well as examining their behavioural role. Capricorn beetles are charismatic saproxylic organisms with a key role as ecosystem engineers. I am also particularly interested in topics related to phylogeny, systematics, biogeography, and faunistics. I am also a birder in my free time.
