The Solemn Miroslav Zei Award Ceremony at the National Institute of Biology
On Thursday, October 25th 2012, a third traditional solemn awards ceremony of the National Institute of Biology was held at the Biological centre on Večna pot 111 in Ljubljana, at the occasion of the 52nd anniversary of the institute.

Bronze award in the competition for The Best European Schoolbook 2012
Since 2009, together with the Frankfurt Book Fair and the IARTEM (International Association for Research on Textbooks and Educational Media), the EEPG (The European Educational Publishers Group, representing 20 members from 20 different European countries) has organized the international schoolbook award: THE BEST EUROPEAN SCHOOLBOOK AWARDS (BESA awards).

The Erasmus Mundus Master of Science in Marine Biodiversity and Conservation (EMBC) is a two-year Master programme offered by a University consortium consisting of 6 partners: Ghent University (Belgium), University of Bremen (Germany), University of the Algarve (Portugal), University Pierre et Marie Curie - Paris 006 (France), University of Oviedo (Spain) and University of Klaipèda (Lithuania).

All three students from NIB in the wining team of Lek’s Alpe-Adria BioCamp
